Greater Dayton Building & Remodeling Brings Home a National CotY Award

Congratulations to Greater Dayton Building and Remodeling for bringing home a National Association of the Remodeling Industry 2024 National Contractor of the Year Award in the Architectural Design Under 500 Square Feet category.

With more than 600 entries nationwide, NARI of Southwest Ohio is proud to have a National Award recipient as a member.  Awards were presented during the Evening of Excellence ceremomy held during NARI's Natonal Conference on April 5.

It’s always refreshing to meet clients who are truly passionate about finding design concepts that match their lifestyles and bring them joy. Like the structure itself, the owners of this 100-year-old Tudor Revival home have a lot of character, and wanted to create a showpiece kitchen that reminded them of their numerous trips to Europe while also modernizing the space. The design inspiration for the project was sparked by the clients’ affinity for the beautiful terrazzo-style floors they’d seen during their time away from the United States. While not the most practical solution for this renovation application, Greater Dayton Building & Remodeling's design team was able to recreate some of the aesthetic characteristics the clients wanted with a stunning Fatsia Rojo marble mosaic listello tile. Once this component of the project was solidified, the rest of the design came together like the pieces of the mosaic itself.
